WINNIPEG WOMEN'S CIRCLE
We host an informal gathering in circle for all who identify as women.
The format of our gathering is to sit in circle. We light a candle in the centre and ring in to set the beginning and end of each of our gatherings. A variety of talking pieces are set in the middle of the room. The person who has a talking piece speaks with intention while the others in the circle listen with attention. Everything said in circle is held in that space as sacred. It is not shared outside the circle.
Do you feel alone and disconnected? Do you long for a deeper connection with other women? Our group may be for you.
We share what's on our hearts that week. Sometimes the words are full of hope, sometimes the words are of despair and everything in between. We do our best to listen without judgement and to not offer advice. This is a place to share and be heard.
This a sharing circle; it has no set agenda. We pass a talking piece around the circle and share whatever is going on in our lives. You’re welcome no matter what background you have and whether or not you have a spiritual tradition. We have no religious affiliation.
Occasionally we pass a hat around to pay for the rental of the building, but otherwise there is no obligation to pay. There is always tea available, and if you feel like bringing some snacks to share, you can, but nothing is expected.
